Majority in Montana support transferring federal land to the state

A new survey conducted by the University of Montana and Stanford University says a majority of Montana residents support transferring at least some federal public lands to state control. This is a shift from earlier polls and shows growing support for the concept.

Nearly 30 percent of the land within Montana’s borders is controlled or claimed by the federal government.

According to the poll, about 59 percent of Montanans want at least some federal lands to be transferred to the state.

Why do you need a gun? Because it may be necessary to save an innocent life as one Indiana mother recently demonstrated.

Fox59 reports:

According to police dispatchers, officers received the call around 12:10 p.m. from a home in the 3200 block of West Banta Road. Family members told FOX59 that an infant was in the home when it happened. A mother heard the burglar get into the home through a window and then took out her pistol.

Cattle have grazed in the Colville National Forest in northeast Washington state for more than a century, but ranchers fear their livestock could soon be forced off the land.

Coming their way is a new plan to guide forest managers for the next 15 years. Though it doesn’t cancel specific activities such as grazing, the directives under consideration include broad mandates to protect streams, plants and trails from cattle.

The War on Drugs comes to Nampa, Idaho… with an MRAP

Four young people between the ages of 19 and 24 were arrested on a variety of drug charges in Nampa, Idaho, after the cops brought out their MRAP Thursday.

Local police departments around the nation have acquired hundreds of Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles or “MRAPs” which are now regularly deployed to perpetuate the failed War on Drugs and other dubious enforcement efforts.

How much better off would we be if we followed the wise advice of Ron Paul on this issue?
