Have you had a reason to bang your head against a wall today? If not, here you go. Justin Curmi, writing for HuffPost Politics, presents what is possibly the most insane anti-gun argument you are ever likely to hear.

The main problem with the notion of self-defense is it imposes on justice, for everyone has the right for a fair trial. Therefore, using a firearm to defend oneself is not legal because if the attacker is killed, he or she is devoid of his or her rights.

Idaho law: Plant the wrong potato, go to jail

Idaho, the state with “FAMOUS POTATOES” emblazoned on its license plate, has a law on the books which says that planting a regular potato (such as you would buy in the grocery state) can land you in jail.

Chapter 5, title 22, Idaho Code requires that only “certified” potatoes or potatoes that are “no more than one (1) generation from their own certified parent seed potatoes” may be planted in Idaho.

I read with interest an Idaho Statesman headline April 15: “Idaho unemployment rate falls to 3.8 percent.” Sounds good, right? Well, whatever database this information comes from is at best misleading.

Here is the truth as validated by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare: As of 2014, 20.2 percent of Idahoans are on some sort of public assistance.
