Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn just introduced his long-awaited concealed carry reciprocity bill (S. 446).

This is a bill that Gun Owners of America has worked long-and-hard for — and the issue remains one of GOA’s top priorities.

Boise woman uses her concelaed handgun to defeat violent carjacker

Concealed carry has likely saved another life after a Boise, Idaho, woman was able to defeat a violent, would-be carjacker who grabbed her by the hair and beat her in an attempt to steal her car.

KBOI reports:

A woman saved herself from a dangerous situation with her pistol kept in her car Monday.

“I couldn’t believe it, it was shock and fear,” said the unidentified woman.

Idaho Sen. Dan Foreman says climate change is liberal scam

Idaho Sen. Dan Foreman is no believer in climate change, calling it a “scam” and saying that he knows “credible scientists in the former Soviet Union who have concluded the Earth is actually cooling.”

The Lewiston Tribune reports:

The University of Idaho may be the center of climate change research in Idaho, but don’t count Moscow Sen. Dan Foreman among the true believers.

Foreman, who represents Latah and Benewah counties, said human-caused climate change is a “scam” perpetrated by left-wing fanatics looking for an excuse to raise taxes and grow government.

Gov. Butch Otter backtracks on Christian refugee preference

Idaho Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter says he chose the wrong word in his recent remarks acknowledging his preference that Christian refugees should be treated as a priority.

Otter, speaking at an Idaho Press Club event Tuesday, said he believes in religious preference, not religious discrimination. When pressed on the difference between the two, Otter said the United States has an obligation to protect groups being targeted for discrimination.

The days are moving fast. It is difficult to believe that it is Friday again. I was so honored to be asked to join Minute Men of the 43rd, for dinner last night.
