Nez Perce-Clearwater Forest Supervisor Cheryl Probert released a draft record of decision banning snowmobile access in the national forest’s recommended wilderness areas and limiting summer motorized use to a single trail. Motorized advocates called the ban unjustified because the area lacks a federal wilderness designation.
